New Delegate for District 6, Lynden, WA, Austin Vander Haak

Although we admire the many years of experience and knowledge that our board members possess, it’s always refreshing to introduce a young and eager-to-learn dairy producer to our team! Austin Vander Haak’s father, Tim, started Triple A Dairy in 2006 and Austin has worked by his side since the beginning. He recently returned to the dairy full-time after graduating with his college degree.

The duo currently milks 400 Jersey and Holstein cows on the dairy, located in Lynden, WA. Their milking Jersey herd, which consists of approximately 300 animals, has been extremely successful and now includes 35 cows scored Excellent. When selecting All West/Select Sires bulls, Austin takes careful consideration of traits such as JPI, JUI, and CFP.

Austin is now looking forward to taking this next step of involvement in his genetics cooperative. “I believe this is a great opportunity for me to increase my involvement in the industry, while learning more about the
artificial insemination industry,” said Austin.
All West/Select Sires District 6 Delegate isn’t the only exciting title Austin has recently gained. He became husband to his blushing bride just last week on February 16th, as well! When he finds time to escape the dairy, Austin enjoys spending time with his wife, playing softball, and cheering on the Seattle Seahawks.

We are excited to introduce Austin and family to the All West/Select Sires Board and Directors and eager to learn from him as he brings new ideas and a fresh perspective!
