  1. How did you get involved in the AI industry?

“I was hired by Tom Olson and Lloyd Vierra to complete the set up of the accounting program that they purchased to run what was then known as Superior Sires. At the time, they were just starting computerized billing. I helped set up individualized inventory for each salesman, accounts payable, payroll, and did the monthly financial statements for them. I was also in charge of keeping track of their personal bull proving program and scheduling the sets to be done in each herd.”

  1. Describe a typical day in your life on the job.

“I update all sales that are downloaded by our sales people, take phone orders for semen, and help invoice semen and products that are billed through the office. Much of my time is spent talking to customers who call to ask a variety of questions and then directing them to the team member who can best help them. I’ve been around so long, it is not uncommon for me to get questions about procedures, etc.”

  1. What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work?

“I enjoy training and competing with my two dogs. Brooke is involved in Scent work trials, which requires her to look for hidden scents in exterior, interior and vehicle hides, much like a drug dog. She is trained to look for scents including birch, clove, and anise. My new puppy, Finnik, is just starting his agility training. I also have a retired trail horse. All of these pets keep me pretty busy!”
