How did you get involved in the AI industry?
“I got involved in the dairy industry first by showing Jersey cattle in high school. I also worked milking cows, feeding calves, and then moved up to breeding cows. I got the job here almost twenty years ago and have been here ever since!”

Describe a typical day in your life on the job.
“A typical day in my job includes receiving tanks from Select Sires Inc. where our bulls are housed, unpacking the semen in to our tanks in California, filling orders for customers as they come in, helping them gather supplies, filling nitrogen tanks, helping team members hook up nitrogen trailers, maintaining inventory, and more. There are lots of oddball tasks that we get done here besides just unpacking and packing semen orders.”

What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work?
“I am a huge fan of the San Francisco Giants and even a bigger fan of watching my sons play baseball as I coach their teams. I also enjoy going up in the mountains to hunt with family and friends.”

“DOUBLE PLAY, with hopes that he would be a breed leader in two traits!”

What is your favorite part of your job?
“My favorite part of my job is when somebody asks me if we have a bull and we have it and I can fulfill their wishes. I love seeing the people smile. That’s a great feeling for me!”
