The
decision to carry "Animal Health" products
at All West/Select Sires was certainly a decision that
was not taken lightly. For 55 years All West had staked
it's claim as the West's best AI Cooperative strictly
from selling semen. When All West began to add a few
"Animal Health" products in the mid 90's they
had to meet a strict set of guidelines. Number one being
that it supported our mission..."to provide the
livestock industry with superior genetics, products
and services through a cooperative association."
In other words, the product we carry need to help producers
maintain healthier cattle, get cattle bred and help
customers be more profitable.
The
addition of the feed supplement products fit our mission
to a tee. Just driving by a dairy and dropping off a
highly fertile unit of semen was not doing all we could
to get cows bred. The Select BioCycle family of feed
products have proven themselves effective in reducing
the effects of molds and mycotoxins in feed. The cows
show much hotter heats, aiding in heat detection and
timing of AI. Healthy cows breed back and getting cows
pregnant is the bottom line goal of any AI company.
Highly fertile semen, healthy cycling cows and proper
timing of AI all add up to superior conception rates
and satisfied profitable customers.
