When you can’t get around to personally see a lot of daughters of bulls, you rely on your All West representative to let you know what’s happening “out there.” We visited with four guys who see a lot of cows in their daily travels. Here’s what they like!
Kelby Stadt, salesman, western Washington
7HO12131 MCGIRT – great commercial cattle who have lots of strength and rump width, and they’re also milking hard
7HO13022 TATUM – cattle with great dairyness; customers really like them
7HO11585 STERLING & 7HO11314 MOGUL – even though they’re considered “old genetics,” they are still extremely popular bulls in my area, as they continue to develop well and mature into profitable, long-lasting cattle
7JE1163 IRWIN – standout cows! He’s still being used quite a bit
7JE1219 OLIVER-P – nice, high & wide rear udders, customers are going back and using him again
Greg Silva, salesman/evaluator, central California
7JE1344 MATT – tremendous udders, with lots of frame and big, open rib
7JE1219 OLIVER-P – with him it’s “lights out” – awesome production and type combined
Brian Nelson, salesman/evaluator, central California
14HO7337 CHOPS – Beautiful daughters with a nice, open sweep to their rib, clean-boned, very dairy, with well-attached udders
14HO7418 BELAIR – High, wide rear udders with plenty of width throughout, lots of milk, good dairyness and high fertility
14JE662 REGENCY – Daughters have very tight, long fore attachments, high & wide rear udders with a strong crease and good teat placement. They’re awesome cows who are sharp, angular and extremely balanced.
14JE673 AVON – What exceptional daughters! They’re really tall, long and deep-bodied cows with a good combination of dairyness and strength, plenty of production and components.
Jeff Cochran, salesman/evaluator, southern Oregon
7HO12266 YODER – I’ve seen about 15 fresh, and they are really milking well!
