  1. How did you get involved in the AI industry?

“I grew up on a third generation, Select Sires bred, Registered Holstein dairy, was an active member of 4-H and FFA with my own show cattle, and my father served as an All West board member for many years, so the All West team has always felt like family to me. However, it wasn’t until I started studying Agricultural Communication at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo that I started seriously exploring my career options in the industry. I interned for All West during my junior year of college and was pleased to discover a place where I could use my creative communication skills and my passion for the dairy industry. I was thankful to be offered a full-time position in the communications department following my college graduation to officially join the family!”

  1. Describe a typical day in your life on the job.

“There really is no typical day in the communications department! One day, I can spend hours in the office writing articles or editing videos, and the next, I can be out on a dairy or attending a local event. I am responsible for a wide variety of tasks here, but creating content for our newsletters, social media, website, and advertising take up the majority of my time. As fast as change occurs in the dairy industry, and especially in the AI industry, you can imagine there is never a dull moment around here!”

  1. What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work?

“When I’m not at work, I enjoy traveling anywhere and everywhere, expressing my creativity through sewing, crafting, and photography, snow skiing, and most importantly, spending time with my family and friends, especially at home on our ranch.”

  1. If it was your choice, what unique name would you give our next best-selling bull?

“HERKIMER”

  1. What is your favorite part of your job?

“Although our sires and their daughters are impressive, my favorite part of the job is the people. Whether I am learning more about a team member or celebrating the success of a member/owner, I always enjoy working with the people of our industry. It is truly a privilege to work for a farmer-owned cooperative where I get to directly serve the producers and ranchers who own Select Sires.”
