The Select Sires Beef team recently added two gifted young women to their headquarters team. Darcy and Renee both come to Select Sires Beef with great knowledge and talent and All West Beef looks forward to using the valuable resources they share in order to better communicate with you, our valued member-owners.

Lorna Marshall, Vice President of Select Sires Beef Genetic Programs, commented, “We are really excited to have both of these talented young ladies on our team as we head in to the spring beef season.”

Darcy Krick of Highmore, South Dakota, joined Select Sires’ beef department as a multimedia and beef sales representative engagement specialist in December 2020. Along with her roots in agriculture and the beef industry, Krick brings graphic design, photography and marketing knowledge to this role.

Since graduating from Northwest College with an associate degree in graphic design, Krick has worked in the agricultural field. Her experiences include ultrasound and veterinary assistant roles, as well as genetic sales and consultation. Krick’s most recent work with the South Dakota Beef Industry Council included development and management of social media platforms and event coordination.

“We are thrilled to have Darcy join our growing beef program at Select Sires,” said Lorna Marshall. “Darcy’s wealth of expertise in both the beef and A.I. industries, along with her energy, enthusiasm, creativity and dedication to beef producers is an ideal fit for Select Sires.”

In her role, Krick will be responsible for managing Select Sires’ beef-focused social media platforms and managing communications and engagement with the cooperative’s beef sales representatives. She will produce and distribute promotional and informational e-newsletters for field staff and customers. Krick will work with the beef department to develop messaging for the various programs while continually strengthening the Select Sires brand and service to farmer-owners.
