The All West Beef team, along with Select Sires Beef, recently sat down with our customer Blake Knowles before he hit the road to The American!

The American Rodeo is an annual two-day event held at the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. There, top ranking athletes from the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association unite together and are put up against underdogs who advance from The American Semi-Finals. Together, they battle for the biggest single paycheck of their lives.

All West customer and friend, Blake Knowles, is a five-time Wrangler National Finals Rodeo bulldogger and American qualifier. As family tradition goes, Blake followed in his father, Butch Knowles, footsteps into the rodeo world as he was a four-time WNFR saddle bronc rider and noted WNFR commentator.

Blake, his wife Whitney, and their two children, Lydia and Trell, call Heppner, Oregon home. In the Little Butter Creek drainage and the mountain rangeland towards the breaks of North Fork of the John Day River, Blake and his brother Brian, mother Mary and grandmother Kathryn Healy own and operate their third-generation ranch, Healy Ranch. Over the years, the All West team has worked with the Knowles family to service and conduct A.I. projects while creating great relationships.

“Like many of our valued Select Sires customers, the Knowles family believes in tradition and their brand at Healy ranch. Our partnership there represents who we are as a customer-based cooperative offering support at every crossroad to see operations succeed,” said Clint Sexson, All West Beef Large Herd Specialist. “I think Blake puts it best when he talks of many irons in the fire to manage the operation and relying on the expertise of his All West Beef Representatives to handle the hottest iron when the A.I. work needs the most attention.”

Below are several videos, featuring Blake and All West Beef’s Clint Sexson, discussing how we have built a trusting and reliable relationship with his ranch as a customer. While Blake fought for The American title March 6-7, he wore a Select Sires patch to represent the brand he trusts!

Congratulations on your success and thank you for your continued business and friendship as you ride for the brand, Blake!
