The All West/Select Sires Board of Directors is pleased to announce Rory White of Turlock, California has been named General Manager/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the cooperative. His official start date in this new position is July 1, 2021 following the retirement of Jim Wells.
“Rory truly believes in the cooperative structure of All West/Select Sires,” said Dennis Areias, President of All West/Select Sires Board of Directors. “He is passionate about good cattle, the people who raise them, and making both the dairy producer’s business and All West/Select Sires more efficient and successful. His unique experiences in our industry and his success in his current role have proven him to be an excellent choice as our new leader.”
Rory has been a member of the All West Family for almost 16 years, serving in many different roles before reaching his most recent career milestone. His experience includes serving our member-owners as a Select Mating Service (SRS) Specialist, a CowManager Specialist, and most recently, the Manager of California Operations. This important role and the responsibilities of ordering semen, maintaining inventory and managing the functions of our California office and warehouse have proven Rory’s ability to efficiently manage our business, while ensuring the success of our customers.
Prior to Rory’s career with All West/Select Sires, he had managed a dairy, worked as a fitter for show and sale cattle, and was a classifier for Holstein Association USA. These varied experiences provide Rory with a unique perspective when serving our member-owners.
Rory and his wife, Tanya, reside in Turlock, California near the All West/Select Sires office and can often be found at local fundraising events for schools and dairy programs. Rory is also active in helping youth exhibitors find and prepare cattle for local dairy shows. Rory and Tanya also enjoy spending time with their children, Kyle and Cheyene, hiking, traveling, and getting together with friends.
